A TWO-PERSON GEG TEAM DESIGNED AND FACILITATED A SIMULATION EXERCISE FOR THE IFRC AFRO MOVEMENT WORKSHOP IN LOMÉ, TOGO

Background: The IFRC hosted a Red Cross Movement Coordination meeting in Lomé, Togo to bring together various actors within the Movement for a collaborative workshop. The week of meetings included a series of sessions specifically designed to improve Movement coordination, including a three hour simulation exercise.

Requirement: The design, development and facilitation of a simulation exercise focused on Movement coordination during a complex emergency in Africa.

GEG Contribution: A two person GEG team supported the design of a simulation which tested Red Cross Movement coordination through several simulated scenarios and meetings related to responding to a complex emergency in Africa. The three-hour exercise was led by the GEG team in Lomé, Togo in March 2019.
