A few snapshots of the GEG training team at our Security in Humanitarian Operations Training in Virginia! GEG continues to support clients in the humanitarian community with a variety of trainings including this one, which focuses primarily on safety and security while operating in humanitarian settings. This simulation-based course prepares participants to deploy to high-risk contexts and operate in insecure environments. Participants learn security protocols, procedures and risk mitigation through hands-on experiences. Some key topic areas include: situational and cultural awareness, austere medicine, negotiation and access, stress management, and off-road driving. GEG will be conducting a variety of trainings this fall for clients around the world!
